Self-Catering Apartment near Stratford of Avon, the Heart of Shakespeare Country
Located in the Village of Temple Grafton, which is 5 miles away from Stratford Upon Avon, the Greenways Apartment is a perfectly located place from which to visit the historical town of Stratford-upon-Avon, where William Shakespeare was born, married and lived most of his life.
The Accommodation
The Apartment can sleep 2 and comes with one bedroom (with double and single bed); a kitchen/dining area for relaxing, plus bathroom with shower and bath.
   
Greenways Apartment facilities include: TV, dishwasher, fridge, cooker and microwave and Wi-Fi. Towels and linen are also provided. Pets are welcome. The comfortable sofas and TV in the louge area are very suitable should you simply fancy ‘an evening in’.
We will be pleased to advise and assist with local information in order to make your visit a success.

William Shakespeare and the Temple Grafton Connection
Temple Grafton is just 15 minutes drive to Stratford-upon-Avon and is a peaceful rural village.
The local Temple Grafton Church is also identified in history as the real church where Shakespeare married.
  
There are numerous pubs in the local area which we should be happy to recommend.
The Temple Grafton and Stratford-upon-Avon Locality
The Greenways Apartment is situated on the edge of the village of Temple Grafton and is on the first floor level looking out over gardens and open fields.
The apartment give access to beautiful walks across the Warwickshire countryside.
Off-street parking is provided plus a secure garage and there are plenty of outdoor areas for children to play in.
The local Temple Grafton Church is also identified in history as the real church where Shakespeare married.
There are numerous pubs in the local area which we should be happy to recommend.
In Stratford-upon-Avon there is a open-top sightseeing tour, visiting all the Shakespeare properties, calling at: Anne Hathaway's Cottage, Nash's House, the Birthplace, Hall's Croft and Mary Arden’s House in Wilmcote (Shakespeare’s mother) now called Palmer’s Farm. These tour busses can be joined at any of the properties.
Further afield, but all conveniently within one hour’s drive, are the Cotswolds and the Vale of Evesham, Warwick and Kenilworth Castles, Coventry Cathedral and the NEC.
Stratford-upon-Avon has many places of interest for the visitor: Stratford Leisure Centre (swimming pool and gym), Stratford Cinema, a number of golf clubs, boating on the River Avon, lovely walks along the banks of the Avon plus numerous shops in the town centre.
Must see places include:
  • The Royal Shakespeare Theatre
  • Shakespeare¹s Birthplace and Holy Trinity Church ­ where Shakespeare is reportedly buried
  • Boat trips on the River Avon
  • Warwick Castle, Kenilworth Castle, Ragley Hall
  • The Cotswolds
  • Blenheim Palace in Woodstock
  • Chipping Campden, Broadway and the beautiful Cotswolds

From the M40 - take junction 15 (Warwick/Stratford-upon-Avon, direction Stratford (A46). At the third roundabout go straight on the A46 towards Alcester. At the next roundabout take the second exit (still on the A46 towrds Alcester.
After approximately 1 mile take the left just prior to The Stag's Head pub and carry on to the jogged crossroad (you will see the Blue Boar pub across to the right).
Cross over the cross-road to Temple Grafton. The village is just 1/2 mile ahead.
After passing the church on your right and the school of the left is a crossroads. Carry on across the crossroads and drive 150 yards, Greenways Apartment is the last house on the right hand side when you leave Temple Grafton and head towards Ardens Grafton.
